Marty's Story...
Meet Marty, a 2 year old dachshund/beagle mix who was taken to the shelter when both of his owners became ill and could no longer care for him. HART to the rescue! HART took Marty from the shelter, and he is now ready for his forever home. He weighs 21 pounds. Marty loves to play with toys. He is housebroken, good with other dogs and likes car rides, mostly because he gets to be with his person. He is a lovebug and would love to shower you with his affection. Could you be that person?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marty, a Cincinnati Dachshund/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Beagle for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Dachshund/Beagle dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Beagle breeders who help with Dachshund/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
