I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Mia's Info...

I am already spayed, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Mia's Story...
This petite little girl is Mia! She is a one year old shepherd mix looking for her forever home. Mia is a playful pup who enjoys a good romp outside with her favorite humans. She likes to spend her days snoozing on her bed or crunching on a yummy dog treat.

This sweet girl just loves going for walks, letting her little black nose lead the way! She also walks well on the leash, and is working on her obedience skills a little bit each day. We believe Mia would do best as an only dog or with a canine companion that is more calm. She is a spoiled princess who needs her personal space. We also do not recommend that she goes to a home with small children.

Mia unfortunately tested positive for heartworms, and will need some extra TLC during treatment (which is included in the $80 adoption fee). She will need to be kept calm and not too rambunctious while on her medications.

If you think Mia would be the perfect fit for your family, stop by the shelter and meet her today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mia, a Germantown Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
