Lemmy's Story...
Lemmy is a 2-year-old cat, who loves nothing more than eating, being petted, and sharing pieces of feline wisdom. He is one of the most laid-back cats around! He just can't get enough of human interaction, and he thinks other cats and small animals are OK too! He was rescued from Animal Care and Control with his sister, Winnie. While Lemmy loves his sister and he would love to find a home with her, he would be happy to find a home on his own as well. Lemmy loves to play with interactive toys, and to jump high up in the air with his very long legs. We think he could probably play for the NBA but he wants to find a forever home first!

Lemmy is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. All that he is missing is a loving forever home. Get in touch to meet Lemmy. Email adopt@emptycagescollective.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lemmy, a Brooklyn Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
