My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

GIA is a 12 year old spayed yellow female Lab who weighs 69 pounds. Gia is a very sweet and pretty older girl. She loves pets and love from her humans. She seems to prefer to walk on carpet as she finds wood floors a little hard to walk on. Gia enjoys taking short walks outside. Gia is good with other dogs. She used to live with another Lab and enjoyed his company. She is excellent with kids and is approved for kids of all ages. Owner surrender due to divorce. He is approved for kids 10+
.
Update:: Gia is a spunky 12 year old girl that is looking for a family to call her own. Gia has been the perfect foster - she is fully house trained, loves other dogs, good with cats, and is just the sweetest, most loving girl. She would do best on one level due to arthritis, but she has no problem following you around - especially if there's food involved;) Gia loves swimming, short walks and belly rubs. This girl is just the best!

Update:: Gia is doing great - She is becoming more active and getting around much better. Swimming days are her favorite. When she sees her foster mom coming down the stairs with a stack of towels she will start barking and dancing around with excitement. She is still such a happy friendly girl and is a joy to be around. Gia is doing great with the cats. She is no longer barking at them and following them around.

Update: Gia seems to be responding well to the medications and supplements. She's not limping as badly. She gets up and down the 4 stairs in and out of the house quite well, but doesn't attempt to go upstairs. She is quite a happy girl - she has been doing some gentle playing with one of the resident dogs and has discovered toys. She has had no accidents and is completely trusted in the house. Gia is so sweet and loving - she made fast friends with everyone that came in and out during the holidays. She is obsessed with belly rubs and treats. She is wonderful with other dogs. She has however appointed herself kitty police. She's not bad with them, but if she sees them anywhere she doesn't want them to be, she barks at them, so we're going to say no cats. This is a very sweet older lady.
