Nash's Story...
You will love Nash! He's a 3 year old handsome Australian Cattle Dog mix that was recently adopted and returned. The family loved Nash and said he was a great dog but lived in an apartment and crated him when they were gone. Nash barked too much when crated and the neighbors didn't appreciate it. He was excellent with his house training and had manners. Apartment living isn't for this active boy. Nash is a young energetic dog that needs room to run and play. He would love a fenced in yard. Nash did not live with any other pets but has met other dogs and was fine with them. He also enjoys riding in the car. Nash just may be your new best friend. Stop by soon to find out.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nash, a Elyria Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
