Maggie Sue's Story...
Maggie Sue is a happy English Mastiff gentle giant who was surrendered to a rural shelter after being a wonderful girl her whole life. At almost 8 years old (DOB 2-2-08), she didn't have much of a chance there, so when we heard about her, we offered to help find her a home that will love her flappy jowls and underbite. She is a great girl here with us. Her tail never stops wagging! She is quiet and loving. She wonderfully represents IDR+ at Petco Meet and Greet events. She enjoys all the attention she receives, especially from the children. Maggie Sue also does really well on car rides. She's good with large dogs and she ignored the cats when tested with them. To adopt this fantastic gal, please email plusdogs@ILDobeRescue.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie Sue, a Barrington Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff for sale in Barrington, or seeking a Mastiff dog from a breeder in Barrington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Barrington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Barrington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff breeders who help with Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Barrington paves the way for another one to be saved.
