Pixie's Story...
Pixie is a super cute 2 year old miniature (33 pounds), colored brindle and white Bull Terrier that was surrendered to a city animal control as the owners had no time. She currently resides in her foster home with a male Beagle, female French Bulldog, male Bull Terrier, a cat and 2 kids ages 7 and 11. She is a very playful bull terrier! Does occasionally bark at the cat to try to initiate play. She crates well, housebroken and non-destructive – although she has a liking for socks. Obedience HIGHLY recommended to establish leadership role and she will require an owner that provides clear and consistent training that is needed with a Bull Terrier. She was recently returned from the city from a 2 week adoption, but was returned when it was realized that she would best be suited in a home with an active family with another COMPATIBLE, active dog to help her keep occupied. Home in suburban setting with fenced in yard would be best. She constantly seeks out canine companionship. She does ‘rough’ play with the other Bull Terrier, who is much larger, in her foster home. ***Please note*** We will only consider adopters within a 3-4 hours radius (Illinois or bordering state).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pixie, a Barrington Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bull Terrier for sale in Barrington, or seeking a Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Barrington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Barrington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Barrington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bull Terrier breeders who help with Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Barrington paves the way for another one to be saved.
