Sissy's surgical site is almost completely healed, her biopsy results are back and sadly the cancer is back. This was not the news we were hoping for...Sissy is in a loving forever foster home being spoiled and loved. Please consider making a donation to help us cover her medical expenses. We are still short a few hundred dollars. Please keep Sissy and her foster dad in your thoughts and prayers.
In the Beginning: Great things happen when people/organizations work together and we are grateful to our good friends at At-Choo Foundation for helping us with Sissy's surgery to remove that HORRIBLE mass on her chin and in her mouth. Sissy was at the Baldwin Park Shelter for WEEKS waiting for a rescue to help her. This sweet, loving, 12 years young senior gal was being passed over by everyone. When a foster was found we knew we could now help her with everyone's help and a s we say "the rest is history!"
Sissy was pulled right before the New Year. We did blood work and x-rays to be sure we could do the surgery. Thankfully, we were able to remove it so she can be comfortable and have a good quality of life. The good news is it is a cancer that has a very low rate of metastasizing, but could grow back in the same place. Tomorrow Sissy will be heading to her foster home and we are just thrilled she is doing great!
Thank You Elaine and the At-Choo Foundation for all your heart emoticon and Support! If you haven't visited their Facebook page please head on over there and tell them we sent you!
