Calista is a female Chihuahua approximately 2 years old. She is teeny tiny, weighing only 7 pounds full-grown. Calista is soft tan in color and has pretty green eyes. She is very perky and healthy, bopping around like the little diva that she is. Calista is very smart and picks up the ways of the household instantly. She is good with her potty training and understands to do her business outside. Her very small size combined with her big, bold personality is absolutely captivating. She is so sweet, amusing, and wonderful to be around. She fits into one arm and likes to snuggle. She especially loves to sleep above your head on your pillow, or else burrowed snug and warm down in the covers of your bed. Calista sleeps well all night long and will wait until you get up to rouse herself. Even if you sleep in, Calista is happy to keep you company. She is so easy inside the home you will be both delighted and sometimes wonder where she is. Well, if you look behind you she is likely snoozing on your chair against your back, or tucked up in a ball on your feet. Calista loves people, is great with other dogs big and small, and appears to be afraid of nothing. Still, she is so small that she needs a secure, protected environment where she can be kept safe. Calista rides well in the car and walks fine on leash. She likes to be carried too, but is perky trotting along beside you as well. Calista was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where she was brought in stray. She is going to make a fantastic little pet and companion. Calista is very healthy and ready for her new forever home today!

Calista’s adoption donation is $250 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED and DEFLEAED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Calista is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteers, Phyllis and Richard and is ready for her forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CALISTA, a Newport Beach Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
