In early 2009, a litter of 8 puppies was found standing around their dead mother. The puppies were in bad shape, and Peanut was especially malnourished and small. Some of the pups did not survive the ordeal, and all of them were very skittish and did not like to be touched. However, after some time healing and growing, the litter turned into sweet loving puppies! Peanut's life started out fantastic when he was adopted out with his sister, Lucy. Sadly, just two years later, the owner decided they only wanted one dog and Peanut was returned. Just like that, back in the shelter. Since that time he was been waiting for another home. He is great with people, kids and has been great with other dogs. He has a spunky personality and is still full of life. At almost 5 years old, this poor dog was given a two year taste of the good life.... let's try to find him a home and give him that life once again.
