Lauren is a gem of a dog! She’s doing wonderfully in her foster home. We’ve learned that if you are looking for a sweet, gentle, loyal, loving, easy-going yet spunky senior dog who loves to be by her human family’s side then look no further. Lauren is a fantastic dog with so much love to give. You really can’t help but smile when you have Lauren by your side. She’s such a quiet, gentle gal. She’s a happy dog with a joyful smile and when she gets to know you she’ll perform a happy dance that will warm your heart. She’d be content to simply sit beside you, join you on a stroll or just lounge contently on a warm, plush bed nearby. Her sense of hearing and smell help navigate her about as she can’t see very well but don’t think for a minute that her eyesight gets her down. She’s very content and gets to know the voices, scents and sounds around her. She loves to be pet and will bury herself into your hands making a purr like sound. She loves to be happily talked to and will respond with a wagging tail. She enjoys going for leashed walks as she strolls beside her human sniffing and taking in the smells and sounds around her. She’s completely house trained, has very good house manners, is not a barker and is spayed and up to date with vaccinations. As with most rescues, we don't know for sure what her breed is but she’s a mix of sorts and we do think we see some black lab in her. She’s on the shorter side weighing in around 50 lbs. She gets along with other dogs and seems okay around cats so far. Her estimated year of birth is around 2007.
