Thelma (grey) and Louise (brown). Both about 50 pounds and 2 years old. They came out of a cruelty situation. Dog hoarding. Dogs starving. Dogs dying. With Thelma and Louise watching and 'living' among it. They both have food issues, but that is to be expected. It just means that they need to be fed in their crates so they don’t have to worry about another dog stealing their food. And the issue may disappear once they know food will now be a constant. It has been fun to watch them blossom. Realizing that people can be kind and help instead of hurt. They are now in a doggie daycare and they are doing great. Watching them play without a care in the world and making friends with the other dogs. They do not need to be adopted together, but another dog in the home would be a good thing. Probably older kids. Not sure about cats, but we will be cat testing them. Our goal is to find them each the very best forever home. With your help.
The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet.
