My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Joan, but in her foster home she is affectionately known by her full and formal name "Piper's Sister Joan." We're not sure how it happened but she responds to it so it stuck. When trying to come up with a bio for Joan I found myself saying 'ditto' to everything we wrote about Piper in his bio. Piper is a quirky. Ditto for Joan. Piper is a love bug. Ditto for Joan. Piper LOVES toys that make bird chirping sounds. Ditto for Joan, except her love is the more subtle; a lowercase sort of love. Piper loves to cuddle at night. Ditto for Joan, except hers is the more obnoxious all caps type of LOVE. It's a real shame that ditto doesn't exactly make for a compelling or informative bio so, please refer back to Piper's post and ditto all those words, plus, here are some "Piper's Sister Joan" specific qualities.
Joan doesn't like to be held way more than Piper. She will happily sit on your lap or chest while you sleep but you need to let her approach you, and she will. She always will. She loves to be cuddled up on your chest at night. She'll settle for cuddled up by your hip if you're not fond of her chest sleeping. She is terrified if you grab her and try to cuddle her to your chest at "human height." Joan likes to live her life at Joan height - NOT your height. She's very much a feet-firmly-planted kind of gal. She is the type of kitty that could be a solo kitty (I would still recommend adopting her with or for a feline friend) as she entertains herself when you can't. But, she seems to come alive with companionship and her brother Piper so far has been the best match. The most adorable thing about Joan is that she talks to her toys. While she's chasing them and batting them around she carries on full conversations with them. We're sure telling them how much fun she is having rather than the more sinister "I am SO going to kill you."
Joan is a unique kitty despite the commonalities she and Piper share. In a perfect world Joan and Piper will be adopted together to a home where all family members will respect their (normal) kitty boundaries and continue working with them if they need it. But, in a more realistic world we know that Joan is a big girl and she can live happily on her own with a family that loves her immensely.
If you'd like to meet Joan (or better yet, apply to adopt her) please contact us, submit an application or ask some questions. Piper and Joan would love to meet their family soon!
This brother/sister duo is looking for their forever family. We've posted this pair before and they gave it the old college try a few times at the pet stores but they didn't meet the right family. Maybe today is their lucky day and their future Forever Mom or Dad is reading this right now! Future Mom or Dad is thinking to themselves "I cannot live another second without these two kitties!" And they'd be right! Don't wait! Contact us! And, even if your thoughts were somewhere in the vicinity of "cats" well, you should contact us too and let's talk more about this pair and your potential new family members. They need a special home with special people and will offer you untold joys. We guarantee it!
All of our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, up to date on shots, combo tested negative for FIV/Leukemia and microchipped.
