Hi all. My name is Earvin. I am a super sweet, 3 yr old, 35 lb male Border Collie/ Formosan Mountain dog mix who is urgently in need of a foster or adoptive home. From the time I was a puppy I have lived in a temple in Taiwan. I was much loved there and very well socialized as I had daily contact with all the nuns. Sadly, a landslide destroyed the temple and all the nuns moved away, leaving me in the care of a villager. But the villager did not take care of me, rarely ever feeding me. I was left to fend for myself. I became very thin and lost some of the fur on my body. When it became clear I was in a desperate situation I was taken to a rescue by another villager. My health is now completely restored as is my joy and love of life. To be honest I never really lost those. Even in a nearly starved condition I would always greet people I met in the streets with a wagging tail and an open heart. I am kinda of a zen dog that way. I adore people and love every one I meet. I am also very friendly and gentle with other dogs and kids. I haven't been seen with cats so it isn't known how I would be around them but I am a super gentle dog and every one who knows me can't imagine me hurting any creature. You can see from my video and pictures that I am a very happy boy, even though I currently spend most of my time in a crate. Imagine how happy I will be once I have a home and a family to call my own. I will be arriving in Vancouver on Jan 30 so I am hoping someone will agree to foster or foster-to-adopt me before then. I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on my vaccinations. My adoption fee is $400.
