Howdy everyone! My name is Tucker. A nice lady found me a few weeks ago and took me into her home. She fed me, kept me warm and gave me lots of love while she looked for my family. Sadly, no one came looking for me. frown emoticon She couldn't keep me herself because her own doggy is sick, but she wanted me to find a good home. She contacted POET, and they agreed to take me. I am very thankful that lady gave me my chance to find a new family.
I love playing with other dogs, big and small. I met a cat, and while I didn't hurt it, my POET family says I am too hyper focused on it to be considered cat safe. I have not met kids yet, but POET thinks I would be okay with them, as long as they were older and could understand I am a bit shy. When you first meet me I might take a while to warm up, but once I do, you will be my best friend! I am working on this whole potty training business. I am a good boy who hasn't peed in the house for a few days, but I like to poop on the kitchen floor. My foster mom was very excited though, because I actually pooped outside this morning! I should get better with structure and praise. My foster mom has also been working on crate training me. I do bark when I first go in, but settle down after a few minutes. I have never pottied in my crate. Being crate trained will also help with the potty training. I am great in the car, and I am getting the hang of being walked on a leash.
Won't you give me a chance? All I want is my very own family to love.
