Supergirl's Story...
Supergirl is a 3 year old "pocket pittie" who overcame heart worm disease in May of 2015. A true fighter at heart! She's 30-40 lbs now, but originally came to The Canine Collective when she was severely neglected, underweight, & pregnant. She came from a rural shelter in approx. June of 2014. Please find it in your heart to be the home she needs! We are unsure how she is with cats. She gets along with some dogs, but will need someone to work patiently with her! Due to her size, it is sometimes overwhelming for young kids but she definitely loves to give kisses!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Supergirl, a Delaware Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Delaware, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Delaware.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Delaware already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Delaware breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Delaware paves the way for another one to be saved.
