Red's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Red's Story...
We saved Red from an extremely high kill shelter when it was going to be his time. He had seen other lucky dogs getting out and we are sure knew his days were numbered till we came and saved him. He was one happy boy getting out of there. He is a beautiful reddish brown colour with green eyes. He looks to be around 3-4 years old and is about 31lbs. We believe he is a few mixes being Australian Kelpie/Lab/Heeler and maybe something else. Red is in a foster home with 2 female dogs that are bigger than him and he was not sure how to play to start with but caught on very quick. He was a stray so we really are not sure on any history of him. He is very smart though. He is fully vetted meaning fixed, all shots, heart worm negative, micro chipped and on monthly prevention. He would be great with a family or single person.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Red, a Washington Labrador Retriever/Australian Kelpie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Australian Kelpie for sale in Washington, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Australian Kelpie dog from a breeder in Washington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Washington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Washington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Australian Kelpie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Australian Kelpie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Washington paves the way for another one to be saved.
