Squeak's Story...
Squeak is an incredible Tuxedo kitten about 3 months old. You can guess, I'm sure, that she has the cutest little squeak when she is trying to find you or wants to be picked up. Her markings are outstanding, she has an blaze on her nose that goes all the way down to her mustache. What a gorgeous girl.

This little charmer has so much joy. She is a real lap cat who loves to cuddle and play. She is very happy-go-lucky and her motor is always running. Squeak will run madly from one end of the house to the other, jumping straight up in the air to make her turns. Makes me laugh out loud to watch her.

Squeak is FeLV/FIV negative and has had her first shots. If you are interested in meeting Squeak or learning more about this beauty, please contact her foster mom, Joan, at 970-874-8239 or email at jftbones@kaycee.net. $75 adoption fee includes refundable spay.neuter deposit. updated 1/17/16

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Squeak, a Austin American Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Austin, or seeking a American Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
