I would like to introduce Kokomo to you. KoKoMo was originally a stray her owner was murdered and the Mother of this victim adopted and cared for KoKoMo for 7 years. Such a sad start in life. But her new MaMa took very good care of her and loved her unconditionally. As you can understand this was the last link she had to her deceased son. Unfortunately her MaMa has been admitted to a Skilled Care Nursing Home environment and was unable to take KoKoMo with her. Her family could not care for KoKoMo and the alternative was Euthanasia. The family reached out to Island Safe Harbor for help and we stepped up to preserve this precious baby.
KoKoMo’s previous name was KOKO – we added the MO to give her a new life and a new name. She is settling in well, but you can tell she WANTS to be in a real HOME for her senior years. ARE YOU THAT HOME ? We want her MaMa to know she is loved and cared for in that “SPECIAL WAY” Please open your heart and your home to this Senior love bug.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

KOKOMO, a Port Clinton Corgi/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Port Clinton, or seeking a Corgi/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Port Clinton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Port Clinton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Port Clinton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Corgi/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Port Clinton paves the way for another one to be saved.
