My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Migsy (about 1 year old) was picked up as a stray by an employee of Memphis Animal Shelter in mid-December. Having only been freed from MAS on January 5, he is still trying to get well (kennel cough) before meeting the 4-year-old resident canine in his new foster home. In his foster mom’s estimation, he has never been loved or played with. He doesn’t know “how” to play just yet. He has zero interest in toys, up to now. He tries to jump up on his foster mom when he is feeling excited/happy. He is merely untrained and unused to any personal interaction.

A very sweet boy, Migsy walks pretty well on the leash already, with a few corrections needed here and there, but he’s not healthy enough to go on a long walk just yet. Migsy has learned “sit” and “come” in a very short time, and it’s obvious that he wants to please. He tries to crawl up in his foster mom’s lap for cuddles. He adores being petted and rolling in the grass. He is still a little bony, but will fill out in no time, with his healthy appetite!

Migsy is kennel trained, neutered, and HW negative. With a little training and a lot of TLC, Migsy will make an excellent lifetime companion for a loving family.

Foster mom, Paula
