Remi's Story...
My name is Remi! I am a male Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound mix who is looking for a furever home! I am a big boy weighing in at 96lbs and still could use a few more lbs! I came to Lucky Tales after I was rescued from a hoarding situation. There were 178 dogs where I lived. As you can imagine, our care was not great and therefore I had some catching up to do to get healthy. My biggest issue was my itchy skin, however, my foster has me on a better food, coconut oil, and I have some medication to help me be less itchy. Everything is due to lack of nutrition. When I can to the rescue I only weighed 80lbs. I am good with other dogs. We are not sure about cats. I would most likely do fine in a home with children, however I am a big boy and I can also be clumsy, so older children would be better. Remi would love a fenced yard to run in, but it is not required. I am neutered, up to date on shots, wormed, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

My Adoption Fee is $200.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Remi, a Florence Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound for sale in Florence, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Florence.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Florence already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Florence breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Florence paves the way for another one to be saved.
