Cookie's Story...

Cookie is a young 1-2 year old male tuxedo.  He was a stray cat who took up residence at the home of a volunteer's friend.  Cookie was always rubbing up on them and soliciting affection, unlike many strays.  They asked us to take him in, because despite being a stray, he was highly adoptable.  And he is the perfect house cat.  He loves toys, catnip, cuddling, and following his humans everywhere they go.  He is a great companion.  He also enjoys the company of other cats, although his playfulness can get on an older cat's nerves.  If you have the right place for Cookie, please contact us and give him a permanent home.  He has so much love to give.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cookie, a Nesquehoning Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Nesquehoning, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Nesquehoning.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nesquehoning already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nesquehoning breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nesquehoning paves the way for another one to be saved.
