I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Hi, my name is Sassafras. I'm an older mellow gal beyond those hyper puppy years. The humans approximate my age to be around 10 but please don't let that scare you off as I still have a lot of love in my heart just waiting to give to my new human family. Some of the things I enjoy doing are lounging about, cuddling, and going for walks in which I can sniff, sniff and sniff. Doesn't that sound nice? I would love it if you would please consider making me part of your family - but please no cats. I really need a family to call my own that will love me in my tender years. Please, please consider it. If interested, please contact Ricky at RickyC68@aol.com
Smiling Dog Farms is a sanctuary for the forgotten, neglected and rejected. Our dogs come from shelters and rescues all across America. All dogs that are deemed adoptable are up to date on shots, spayed or neutered, and on heartworm prevention. Many of our dogs live in Wharton Texas, but we have very safe, reliable transport to the northeastern states.
Our sanctuary dogs that have been deemed “unadoptable” because they have bitten someone, or have other behavioral challenges, have a safe home with us for their lifetime and are also up to date on shots, sterilized and on heartworm prevention.
Our Adoption Process...
Most of the dogs that come to our Sanctuary have had a scary background of being left to die in animal shelters across the country. Understandably, we are very careful in our approving our adoptions as we are dedicated to ensuring that this dogs truly go to a "forever" home. As a result, our process is stringent, requiring an application, home visit, vet and reference checks and an adoption contract. We want the adoption to be a match made in heaven for both the new adoptive parents and the adopted dog.
