My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Poppy and I am a most handsome blue budgie. Some people know us as parakeets, but our species name is actually budgerigar. Try saying *that* with a beakfull of pellets! No wonder we are called budgies.

My foster mom says I am very sweet and am adjusting well to my temporary home. I really want to find my forever home, though.

Even though a pellet diet is much better for me than seeds, everyone knows we don't always eat what is good for us! My foster mom is currently mixing the seed with pellets, in the hopes that soon I will like pellets as much as seed. I also eat fresh greens and fresh sprouts, which are most yummy!!!!
