Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DUCHESS was born approximately June 8, 2013. This petite girl survived two winters outside by befriending humans at their back doors, and decided early on that the outdoors life is just not for her. She worked hard to get herself brought in by a nice lady who fed her through the winter, but does not have room at the inn since she is already at the pet limit in her complex. DUCHESS has amazed us with how affectionate and friendly she is considering she was born outside. It takes her a little while to get used to new things, but once adjusted, she will sit in your lap, allow you to trim her nails, and she loves to play with teaser toys! She is one of those cats who truly appreciates being given a second chance and will make a great companion. She has never had the opportunity to be inside a home yet, as she was brought directly to our facility, but she has adjusted quickly to our cottage environment. Since this is all new to her, she will need an adjustment period into a new home, which our volunteers will be happy to go over. She is a gentle girl, and once she feels safe in her environment, she enjoys the company of both humans and other animals. DUCHESS would love a warm bed of her own, and a family to bond with. DUCHESS is healthy, already spayed, up to date on all shots, and litter box trained.
