Figaro's Story...
My name is Figaro, and although my story is a sad one, it has a happy ending! I was surrendered by my previous owner at an animal control facility in Los Angeles. For some reason that I don’t understand, my owner told them I was FIV positive (which I am NOT). Being FIV positive in shelters is a death sentence, and I moved up to the top of the euthanasia list. I completely shut down in the shelter, and was so traumatized from being abandoned that I just curled up in a ball in the corner. I was profoundly depressed and sad, and was about to be euthanized.

Fortunately, some kind friends saw a post about me on facebook, and they rescued me! I went to the vet and got tested for FIV, and I was NEGATIVE! My rescuers soon found out that I am in GREAT health, and incredibly friendly and kind.

It took me a couple of weeks to recover from the trauma of the shelter, but I am now happy and healthy and ready for my forever home! I am VERY kind, friendly and sweet, and I love being pet and brushed. I am a very sensitive soul, so I need a peaceful, indoor only home. I get quite frightened of other kitties, so I would be best in a single cat home, or with a kitty friend who is very gentle.

I am fixed, FIV/FELV negative, I have been microchipped and I am up to date on my shots. I hope to find my forever humans soon so I can give them all of my love!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Figaro, a Burbank Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Burbank, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Burbank.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Burbank already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Burbank breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Burbank paves the way for another one to be saved.
