My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB December 16, 2011.

Beauty is a classy, gorgeous young lady. She is simply stunning! She is quiet and easygoing, she loves to eat, sleep, or laze around and observe life from her own corner of a room. Beauty definitely has a lot of love to give when she begins to trust her humans. She is loyal and unwavering in her affection. She will follow her foster mom around the house, patiently lounging by her feet, on a counter, chair, table or anywhere else nearby. She will hop up on the table for mealtimes, on the couch for TV time and on the bathtub when it's tooth brushing time. Anywhere her humans are, you'll find her nearby. Beauty is timid, but playful, when approached slowly with a toy or treat. Her favourite toys are ones that her foster family dangles in front of her for her to pounce on. Although loving in her own way and open to affectionate interactions, she does not enjoy being pet or carried for extended periods of time, but will allow head caresses and short moments cuddled in the arms of her humans.

Beauty was rescued as a stray. She was underweight, weak and hungry. She was terrified in the beginning and is only now opening up to being around people. She will retreat quickly, giving a low growl or short hiss if she feels threatened or that her space has been invaded. She hasn't scratched or bit - she just lets you know when she wants to be alone. Beauty has a Grade III heart murmur. This is considered moderate and does not require medication or special treatment. She's a healthy girl!

Because of her past, she takes time to trust people and other animals. She has currently learned to coexist with the resident house cat in her foster home, therefore she may be best suited as the only pet in an adult home or introduced to another relaxed older cat in an adult only home. She's come such a far way already! She is looking for her special family who will journey alongside her in her transformation to the courageous, strong, graceful, loving Beauty she knows she is purposed to be.
