My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COURTESY POST

Socks and Sneakers were rescued in a backyard in Harrisburg, PA. After all of the other kitties found homes, these two remained with their rescuer. Unfortunately, some of the family members turned out to be allergic and as much as the family hates it, they know Socks and Sneakers would do best in another home.

Socks and Sneakers are both about 1 1/2 years old, male, and neutered. They have a bond and strong attachment to each other since being together their whole lives (their rescuer suspects they are brothers from the same litter). They get along with people of all ages and small children. They’ve also lived with a child with ASD. Socks and Sneakers hang out with her for as long as they want to and then will find a place to get away whenever they want. They have also been around a chihuahua but that's the only dog. Sneakers hid and Socks held his own. Their rescuer recommends a house without small animals as they were fending for themselves until they were about 6 months old and would probably go after a hamster or something like that. Socks and Sneakers were shy when first being brought indoors but have done will since becoming comfortable in a home. They will still hide if the doorbell rings or company comes over. Sneakers’ favorite toys are mice that rattle and Socks likes anything with feathers.
