Austin's Story...
Austin is a bright eyed and eager 5 month old kitten! He will play by himself with sparkle balls and foam balls – but if you want to join in at playtime he brings his kitten enthusiasm to any game. Austin loves to rub on legs! He is a confident kitten – he was the first to come out from under the bed when we brought him home, the first to rub on my legs, the first to be petted and picked up, the first to explore the house. Austin’s enthusiasm each day is heartwarming! He is not a talker, but he communicates by looking at me frequently with his adorable kitten face. He also enjoys looking out the window from his cat tree perch. He likes other cats – he is very intrigued by our 3 year old cat and is submissive to him but unfortunately our cat doesn’t want to be bothered with kitten licks and rubs

Adoption fee is a minimum $75 per cat donation to Feral Fixers . All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and felv/fiv negative.

Discounted adoption fee if two kittens or cats are adopted together, $130 for a pair.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Austin, a Lombard Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Lombard, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Lombard.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lombard already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lombard breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lombard paves the way for another one to be saved.
