Maya's Story...
Maya
7 year old Female Lab Mix

Maya is a sporty girl who enjoys long walks, and a full-speed run will really put a smile on her face! She’s an absolute sweetheart, very smart, well-trained, and obedient. She gets along well with
other animals and is currently learning not to be overly-dominant when playing with them.
Because she can be a little rough when playing,
kids should be taught how to interact with her.
At the end of an active day, Maya likes to cozy up
for snuggles and belly rubs. Maya grew up as an
only-pet who got lots of exercise and attention, and she would love to continue that lifestyle.

Maya’s Adoption Fee is $300.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maya, a Ottawa Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Ottawa, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Ottawa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ottawa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ottawa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ottawa paves the way for another one to be saved.
