Chester (Neutered)'s Story...
Chester is a handsome senior male Hound mix who arrived at the HSOV on February 10, 2016 after a Good Samaritan found him taking a stroll by himself and brought him to the safety of our shelter.

This sweet older gentleman has a tan short smooth coat with cream highlights, subtle black shading on his back, a long tail, and a darling Hound face with large floppy ears. Chester will melt your heart when he looks up at you with his big brown eyes which beg for attention. Our kennel techs and volunteers have already fallen in love with this boy :)

Chester has a gentle, loving disposition He weighs approximately 53 lbs. and could easily gain a few pounds to fill out his slim physique. Chester is available for adoption since he was not reclaimed. He has been in a wonderful foster home since July 24, 2016 and is still looking for a home of his very own.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chester (Neutered), a Marietta Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
