Trevor's Story...
Trevor is going to make one family a great companion! All he wants is to be involved in everything the family does and to hang out with his humans. He is a eight year old red and rust, natural eared, docked Doberboy weighing in at around 83lbs. He is crate trained and likes to have a kong filled with a bit of kibble and peanut butter to help him pass the time in there. He's house trained, having only had one accident in the house and that was completely the humans fault. He likes children and gets along well with both our 10 year old son and 15 month old niece. He also gets along well with our 6 year old female doberman which is no small thing. He is well trained and knows sit, down, shake, stay, come and will also sit and wait to eat until you tell him okay. Our 10 year old so loves to train him and has been working with him on putting him in a down and then walking away. He loves to give and receive love and all you have to do is look down into his sweet big eyes while that big ole head is in your lap to know that you have one special boy. While we are away during the day he stays in his crate because he is a bit of a curious boy but at night he stays out and sleeps all through the night on a dog bed in our bed room. After over a month he started to play more with the toys we have, although so far he has not destroyed any of them. He likes car rides and especially likes it if he can sit with his hind end on the second seat, paws on the floor and head looking out through the front. His energy level runs from medium to low as the day begins to end. He loves going on walks although we are working hard to his leash skills, he is a puller and gets overly excited when he sees other dogs and will just need continued guidance to help with this. He's not very fond of cats or squirrels but he's so cute when he sees birds on a walk because he will just stop and stare at them and he cocks his head as if to wonder what exactly those creatures are. This boy is definitely a diamond and won't you please come see him to see how much he can shine for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trevor, a Arlington Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
