Dasher's Story...
You are going to fall in love with Dasher as soon as you meet him! Dasher is a handsome Basenji mix, around 2 years old, who has the qualities of the perfect family dog. He is house trained, crate trained, and he rides great in the car. He has never met a stranger and he loves interacting with his human companions. He is a very gentle dog and would be wonderful in a home with children. He is a very sweet fellow with no negative traits. He would love a home where he can have playful interaction with kids and another dog. He needs a fenced yard where he can run around and play fetch. He enjoys running side by side with his doggy companion with a stick in their mouths. Dasher rides great in the car and walks great on a leash. He would love to be your exercise buddy and go on walks with you. Dasher is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, parasite free, heartworm negative, and current on trifexis. You can fill out an application for him here: Once we receive, we will forward to his foster mom and she can answer all of your questions about this handsome boy. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dasher, a Knoxville Basenji dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basenji for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Basenji dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basenji breeders who help with Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
