Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hero is a tan/white Terrier/Maltese mix who weighs 14 lbs and is about 2 years old. Although he has a terrier-like coat, he does shed. He was an owner surrender and came in with 4 other dogs. Poor guy was matted and not well cared for when he came in. He looks like a star now, though. He is a little nervous but very affectionate and wants to be with his people at all times. Although he was shy, he settled down quickly and is now comfortable and happy. He walks on the leash without pulling but seems confused as to which side to walk on! He loves his walks and is frisky on the leash so he’s going to be a lot of fun to walk and hike with when he’s had a little more leash training. He is smart and willing to learn so that shouldn’t be too difficult. He is mostly housetrained and very trusting and loving when he is comfortable with you. Hero would like his forever home as soon as possible so that he can get this next phase of his life started and settle down with a loving family who won’t give him away again.
