  • Color: Gray/Blue/Silver/Salt & Pepper
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
Zandy is a very special 8 year old schnauzer surrendered because her owners no longer had time for her and could no longer handle her medical issues. She is a friendly spunky girl and you would never know she is sick to look at her. Zandy has diabetes, and requires regular bloodwork and check-ups, special diet, and shots of insulin 2x daily for life. She's a good girl for her injections and needs someone who will make sure she continues to get proper treatment. She is also a cancer survivor, and had a toe amputated with a malignant tumor on it last year! We know it's a lot to ask someone to take on, but the extra care she requires will be made up for by the extra love and loyalty she will give. Email njwoof@cs.com if you are interested, and please share her story far and wide in hopes of her special person finding her! She is located in Northern NJ

We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash) in Morris Plains (Denville on GPS). To help us better match a pet to your household, we request you fill out an application on our homepage www.secondchance.petfinder.com and copy and paste it into an email, or print it and bring it to our adoption day when you come. Local inquiries only please- we do not do long distance adoptions.

About Second Chance Pet Adoption League

About Our Rescue Group...

We a small group of volunteers dedicated to rescuing as many homeless dogs as we can and keeping them happy and healthy in foster homes until they are adopted.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3pm at 3009 Route 10 East in Morris Plains, NJ 07950. Call us at 973-208-0191 or during the adoption at 973-366-2568 for more info.

Our Adoption Process...

We request that adopters fill out a pre-adoption application either in person at our adoption day or through our website www.secondchance.petfinder.com. This helps us make sure the animal's personality is a good match for your household. Adoption fees vary according to the dog's age, breed, adoptability, and how much we have had to spend in vet bill on them. Adopters sign a contract at the time of adoption, and the animal must come back to us if they do not work out in the home.
