Facts about Bette Alice

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Tiger Striped
  • Age: Senior
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Betty Alice was brought into the Cause For Paws program after being abandoned at a Petco store. She was born approximately, October, 2003. Betty is a petite senior lady with a big loving heart. She is very sweet and loves attention! She adores being in your lap, and would like to be there all the time! If you are working on the computer, that is where she wants to be! I think she could sit there all day if she could! She will follow you all around the house. Betty was purring the whole time these photos were taken and usually starts purring just when she sees you! Betty loves to be brushed and she enjoys playing with her catnip banana. Betty doesn't seem to enjoy other cats or dogs, and we think she would prefer a more quiet home with adults only. She is a loving, gentle sweetheart, so deserving of a second chance at a forever home for the rest of her life. Betty Alice has been felv/fiv tested (negative), vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. To find out more, please email Cause for Paws at cause4paws@hotmail.com (please be sure to include your daytime and night time phone numbers!) or call Cause for Paws at 952-259-1483. Thank you

About Cause for Paws

About Our Rescue Group...

Cause for Paws is a Minnesota nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization founded in 1998. It is a small all-volunteer group of friends who love cats and want to make a difference for cats in our community. The small group's main focus is helping stray and abandoned cats and kittens find loving, permanent homes. Cats are fostered in volunteers' homes; there is no shelter facility. The goal of every Cause for Paws adoption is a home where the cat and the other family members -- both two-legged and four-legged -- will thrive. Prior to adoption, all cats are examined by a veterinarian,
Felv/fiv tested, vaccinated (including rabies and distemper),
spayed or neutered, microchipped and registered, fostered in a volunteer foster home to determine the kitty’s personality, and received treatment for flea/parasite prevention. As funds allow, Cause for Paws also provides spay/neuter assistance for owned cats in the community, through its Cause for Paws Spay/Neuter Subsidy Program. The work of Cause for Paws is funded entirely by donations.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Cause for Paws hosts adoption events at the Petcos in Highland and Roseville. We also have cats available for viewing at the Petco store in Roseville in their in-house adoption kennels. If someone is interested in seeing one of our cats, arrangements can be made to meet this cat at a time other than our scheduled adoption events. Our adoption events are typically held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please see our website for specific dates and locations.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption fee for a Cause for Paws cat is $130. There is an adoption application that is completed and reviewed prior to the adoption. This application will ask for a veterinarian reference and we will check this reference prior to an adoption. The application gives us an opportunity to learn more about the potential adopter and whether or not the cat that they are interested in would be a good match. There is also an adoption contract that is completed at the time of the adoption. Because we are an all-volunteer organization, we typically will respond to an inquiry within 24 to 48 hours.
