Cory's Story...
Please visit our main website at for most recent list of available Boxers and to fill out an adoption application. Due to the volume of inquiries our volunteers receive we are unable to reply to inquiries without a completed adoption application.

We found this spunky young man out in Moreno Valley. He delighted the staff at the shelter and will make someone a terrific companion. Cory is deaf but does not miss a beat in life. He is playful and affectionate with people and other dogs that demonstrate good balance. Cory does not react well to surprises so only very submissive dogs and older kids to allow him to settle into new life. Deaf dogs are very visual and are very easy to train. Cory is extremely attentive to handlers and would do great on his own or with another calm/submissive dog in the home to serve as his ears. This young boy has a lot of living to do and just needs the right environment to thrive. A home free from surprises is key to help Cory settle in.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cory, a Encino Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Encino, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
