Sherman's Story...
***LOCATED IN ARKANSAS*****
This sweet boy is Sherman. He was found in a ditch with his sister when they were only a few weeks old. I pulled them from the shelter on 1-9-16. At that time they were around 7-8 weeks old. Sherman now weighs about 9 pounds so I estimate that he is going to be on the smaller side as an adult- maybe 30-35 pounds but that is just a guess! The vet said he could possibly have Black mouth cur in his mix and not sure what else. Whatever he is- he is wonderful. He is a very independent puppy and not scared of anything. He is located in Arkansas and will not be transported up to the Northeast until he is adopted. His adoption fee is $250 and the transport fee is $140. So a total of $390. If you would like more info on this handsome boy-please email me, Sandy at vshutchins@gmail.com and thank you for considering one of my rescues!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sherman, a Hagerstown Black Mouth Cur puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black Mouth Cur for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Black Mouth Cur puppy from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black Mouth Cur breeders who help with Black Mouth Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
