My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Well hello to you, thanks for checking me out. My name is Darby and I'm a 3 year old Male Cairn Terrier blend weighing 10 pounds. I don't know how I ended up in a big old scary shelter where adoptable dogs are euthanized because there are just too many of them. Thankfully I got out of there and was saved by a wonderful rescue called CARE. They also found me a foster home in San Antonio Texas where I've met some other dogs other little dogs. At first can be standoffish but do well with laid back dogs. I ignore cats and I really love belly rubs and snuggling and following my humans all over to make sure that everything is good with them. I'm ready for my forever home and can be transported to you in the US or Canada.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
Please call CARE at 210-858-8422 or email adoptions@caretx.org

This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas* and is ready to fly to its final destination once adopted. The $550 adoption fee** covers air transport, health certificate and tax deductible adoption fee. This pet will be spayed/neutered and have age appropriate vaccinations and micro-chip

*CARE is located in San Antonio, TX where we have a serious pet overpopulation situation and hundreds of adoptable pets lose their lives in the shelter and on the streets every week. We have been trying to save as many as we can for the past 6 years and with your adoption, we can help save even more.
**This is the base fee for transportation for pets 40lbs or less. Bigger pets may cost more based on weight of the dog and crate and transport location. Flying to Canada requires a separate customs fee.
