Ginger's Story...
This big, beautiful bullmastiff is Ginger, a 6 year old girl that is dreaming of a great home of her own. Ginger came to us from our Newark facility when she was given up by her family who were moving and couldn't take Ginger along. This poor girl had a terrible cold and was not eating well for her first few weeks with us but with lots of good medical care and TLC, Ginger is thriving now and loving life once again. She is looking forward to start interviewing potential families that can offer her a loving, forever home. Ginger is a gentle giant that is easy going, mellow, and well behaved. She walks very well on a leash and has excellent manners. Ginger sits instantly when she's asked and even offers a pawshake for a treat. She enjoys going in our exercise yard and roaming around to check things out and sniff at who was there before her, but she doesn't have much interest in chasing after toys and would rather sit beside you to get some attention. Ginger is very people focused and just wants to lean against you and get doted upon. She's so friendly and outgoing, and has no inhibitions whatsoever about meeting new people. Ginger will need to be the only dog in the home and gets along fine with more mature children. She is hoping to get noticed quickly and spend the rest of her life in a wonderful home with a family that loves her. File#25887 1/9/16

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger, a Forked River Bullmastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bullmastiff for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Bullmastiff dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bullmastiff breeders who help with Bullmastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
