Bertie's Story...
Born December 2014. Approx. 30 lbs. Bertie is a 16 month old terrier mix. He is laid back, great around other dogs, loves human attention and could easily be selected as "Mr. Popular" by all the other pups at the shelter. He has the most gorgeous markings on his never-to-be-tamed scruffy coat and is one cool dude! His name means "bright", and that is just what he has, a bright, shinning personality! Bertie has high hopes that his forever home will find him very soon. He's more than ready to stop and smell the flowers on his daily strolls.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bertie, a San Leon Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in San Leon, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in San Leon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Leon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Leon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Leon paves the way for another one to be saved.
