Winnie's Story...

Winnie was rescued from a rural South Texas shelter just in the nick of time and when she got to her foster home, it was discovered she was pregnant.  She gave birth to 6 lovely pups at the end of October and she has been a really great mom.  She is very dog and people friendly and let everyone handle her pups without any fuss.  Winnie's pups have all been adopted and now it is her turn to find a wonderful home of her own.  She is such a special little girl and warms the hearts of everyone who meets her.  Winnie is very kind and gentle and would do well in a family with young children as well as with senior citizens.  She does like to destroy her fuzzy squeaky toys but she is still a really young dog so that is very normal.  She loves to cuddle with her humans inside and play with her doggie friends outside.  If you are looking for a wonderful, sweet, gentle, loving labbie mix, Winnie will surely win your heart.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winnie, a San Antonio Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
