Stan the Man! Stan is quite the ladies man. His long hair and fur makes him the envy of both the males and females in the room! Poor Stan came very close to losing that gorgeous fur coat. This poor cat was in a fire but managed to escape. He is still recuperating from the stress and trauma that surrounded him during that horrible night. He was scared and hiding when he first came in, but he is learning to trust people and that the world will once again be a secure and happy place for him.If you have ever been in a burning building (as I once was) you know the terror that is so hard to shake off. We are using all the tools in our toolkit to help Stan recover from the tragedy that separated him from his family. He will still hide, and sometimes makes a little sound when people come to close or move to quickly. This is all to be expected. We have discovered that Stan loves catnip, and so we give him just a little every day to help him forget. He is now getting back to being the happy and secure cat we know he once was. Please come and rescue this cat just one more time.
