Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Vixen's Info...

I am already spayed, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Vixen's Story...
Hi! My name's Dancer! I'm around 5 years old, and am a chihuahua. The people at the shelter think I came from a puppy mill or hoarding situation, but don't know for sure. I am very shy, and have not been around many people in my life. I would do best in a calm home, where I can learn to trust people. I do really well with other dogs, and it would be great if I could live with a more confident dog who will show me the world isn't such a scary place. Since I'm so scared I would like a home without children.

I'm already up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and have a microchip. All I need now is YOU to take me home and love me! The shelter is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-5, Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8, and Saturday from 10-2. Come visit!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vixen, a Youngwood Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
