Nash's Story...
"Nash" is an adorable male kitty who arrived at the HSOV on November 10, 2015 along with his brothers (Crosby & Nash) after they were found in Marietta, Ohio. These boys were tiny 2-month old babies at that time. They have spent most of the kittenhood in our shelter and have been pampered, spoiled, and loved by our shelter staff :) These little guys are happy, playful, and very socialized. "Nash" has a beautiful black tabby short smooth coat and a cute mischievous-looking face. He has one of the looongest tails we've seen on such a tiny kitty! "Nash" is perhaps the most outgoing of his siblings, and he takes every opportunity to seek out attention. You cannot open the cage door without "Nash" leaping into your arms :) He and his brothers look forward to playtime in our meet/greet room where they can romp/play and be silly fun-loving kittens. They seem to enjoy providing entertainment for visitors and volunteers who laugh at their daily performances <3

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nash, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
