My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gertie! Gertie is an older gal that came to SCBC as a stray from some harsh city streets! All that behind, she refuses to let that break her spirits!

Gertie spends her days playing with the other dogs in her temporary foster home. She is mild-mannered, housebroken, and sweet as pie!

Gertie is looking for a permanent foster or a FURever home! She is still on the mend from her days as a street dog, so she will need to gain some weight and take care of a few medical needs before she can leave the rescue program.

Gerties adoption fee is $100 and an above ground fence is required. An application can be found at http://southcentralbloodhounds.org/available.html.

She is currently being fostered in the San Antonio area, but don’t let the location scare you away. We have an amazing transport network and can arrange to help get your new family member home!
