Jack-BIG & SWEET's Story...
Hi, I'm JACK. I'm a BIG kitty, and one of those friendly, outgoing guys .. the kind of kitty to greet you at the door and follow you everywhere. My person went into a nursing home, and her family was going to put me in a barn. I am SO not the barn-cat type .. and I love people too much for that. I'm looking for a quieter, calmer home with no young kids. I'd like a lap to curl up in, and a window where I can watch the back yard critters when you're busy. Another laidback cat is okay and so is a quieter dog who ignores me.

JACK is estimated to be 4. His adoption fee is $125. Come see him at the Auora PETSMART (976 S. Rt. 59, just north of Meijer) -- starting Sunday 1/24! WALK-IN ADOPTION HOURS at that location are 1-4:00 on SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS -- NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY.

** For more information or to schedule a weekday appointment, email purrsnaperville@yahoo.com or call/text PURRS at 630-815-4520. For fastest response, please use email or text!

** All PURRS' cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, FIV/FeLeuk tested, wormed, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack-BIG & SWEET, a Hillside Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Hillside, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Hillside.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillside already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillside breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillside paves the way for another one to be saved.
