Gatito's Story...
Date of Birth~04/15/06. Siblings: Chaton, Kedi, Katji, Yataki. Photo taken: 06/18/06. Estimated date of availability: 06/05/06. As you can see from my pictures, I am snoopy, nosy and like playing with kitty toys. What you cannot see is that I am very sweet and loving and after playing, I jump in my foster mom's or dad's lap and turn on my big purr motor. My name means 'kitten' in Spanish.. My siblings and I, along with 30 other kittens and cats, are among the more recent victims of Hurricane Katrina and were saved from certain death in a high kill shelter just north of New Orleans. We are all very people friendly and playful and have been examined by a vet. I have been neutered, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, treated for fleas, worms and ear mites and started on my immunizations. By the time I am ready to be adopted, I will need one more booster and a rabies shot.......did I mention that I also come with one month of health insurance for $1.00?? If you cannot adopt me, please consider making a tax deductible donation to RescueCats. They did not receive any $$ for saving our precious little lives. Each and every task necessary to keep the place running is done by volunteers, including their awesome web site, so all fees and donations go to taking care of all of the kitties. If you would like to meet this wonderful kitty as well as many other cats on the web site, please call Marty @ 770-716-0995

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gatito, a Fayetteville Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Fayetteville, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Fayetteville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fayetteville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fayetteville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fayetteville paves the way for another one to be saved.
