My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~adoption fee applies – if serious about adoption please email caarescue@gmail.com ~

My name is Lily and after being passed around and around a few times I finally found myself in foster care with CAA Rescue! I am an overweight chunky monkey and while I have lost weight with my foster mama I still do have more to lose!
I am house trained
I also absolutely love taking walks – I am trained both in on and off leash walking with great recall
I love running in the woods with a doggie pack, I get along with both big and small dogs.
While I am not overly vocal I can and will bark at the other dogs to tell them to knock it off when they get too excited! The Chihuahua in me always has to be the boss of everyone
While I am not left alone very often I have been left for upwards of 7 hours, uncrated and there was no destruction. However it is important to note that while the humans may have left I do have doggie friends in foster care so even though technically I am alone I am never truly alone. It will be important for my new family to understand this. We will also be looking for a family who is frequently home
I love going for car rides so if you have road trips planned I am your doggie girl! My foster mom takes me to the woods every day so that I can run around with the big doggies and I just love it!
I do have to tell you though there one thing I will not compromise on & that is sleeping arrangements… I like to snuggle under the blankies with my foster mom and for sure will continue to do this with my adoptive forever family!
I show no signs of food or toy passion or aggression to other dogs or people
I am cat friendly
CHILDREN: I am people friendly. In my previous life I lived in a home with 6 children … I think all that hustle and bustle was a little bit too much for me. I think at this point and time in my life I would just be happier in a home with no children or children over the age of 14.

HEALTH CARD: Of course the overweight issue just did not happen magically on its own… I am a super glutton with food! I will eat everything anytime and anywhere… I am a mini hoover vacuum just waiting to inhale anything that I think might be digestible!
I have also suffered many seizures while in foster care with CAA Rescue and have been treated by a vet who has me on medication to control the seizures. Finally after many months of my foster mom watching me like a hawk and many vet visits it was determined that I was hypoglycaemic! Which is not as bad as being epileptic but it is still important that I get adopted into a family who understands the scope of this! I have my own automatic feeder that CAA purchased for me because I need to eat smaller amounts more frequently! I am starting special metabolic food that can be purchased at any vet office – this food will help to keep my sugar levels under control and also help me lose weight! I am off all the medication for seizures and have been seizure free since being on this controlled diet
& you would never know it with all the running I do that I am two ruptured ligaments (both back legs) they have been ruptured for a long time and there is no way to repair the damage done. So as long as my new family understands that I love to run and play I can only do this at my pace and when my back legs get tired you will have to carry me, snuggle me and give me kisses!

ADOPTION: I am a gorgeous girl and I think I really deserve my own family who will love me for always and show me all the things I need to know to be a good and happy girl! My next move has to be my last move for always … no more excuses and no more reasons and no more sad stories! I absolutely need someone to commit to me for the rest of my life!
