PUPPY's Story...
PUPPY is in a desperate situation. He belongs to an elderly man who has dementia and who lives alone. Unfortunately, here in Puerto Rico, if the adult children are not responsible, this kind of scenario can continue for a long time. Puppy is in a crate almost 24 hours a day and if it were not for the kindness of a neighbor would often have no food or water. She has also taken care of Puppy's vetting needs and she walks him every day after taking care of her own 5 dogs. Amazingly, he is healthy, affectionate, and kind of mellow for a young lab mix. He will need house training, as he has no choice most of the time but to "go" in his crate.

If you would like to help this beautiful, sweet-natured dog to find happiness, please call Bonnie at 787 808-3523. We would also consider a foster home for him if you can't adopt but would like to help. Puppy's adoption fee is $325, which includes transport from Puerto Rico. You would pick him up in Alstead, NH.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PUPPY, a Alstead Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Alstead, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Alstead.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alstead already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alstead breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alstead paves the way for another one to be saved.
